Save your money.
I work at a local utility and needed some new pants. My grandpa and dad ran a construction company growing up and they always wore Carhatt, so that's where I went. At first? The waistband is comfortable, the fabric feels nice, and they had a nice stretch. They looked great too. I loved these Essential Ashland pants at first. Ordered more, even. But, boy, what a waste of money. "Built with our strongest canvas" must be a joke, because after just four months the thighs have worn away to nothing and I have had to reinforce them with denim so I am not just throwing hundreds of dollars away. For context: my work isn't super sedinatary but it isn't incredibly physical either. I average anywhere between five to ten thousand steps a shift (according to my watch), and I only work 15 days out of the month. Needless to say, I am completely disappointed and will not be buying again.

They run big, but not complaining though, total keeper. I would order another one different color and 1 size smaller. I recommend.

Not mid rise!!
Finallyyyy a somewhat lightweight work pant for women, but very very sad that they are not actually mid rise ?? they go past my belly button. I don't like the feeling of baggy pants and I was really hoping these would fit more snug like my other brand of jeans as we're not allowed to wear utility leggings either.. tried 3 other brands and I'm gonna try to shrink these in the wash and make them work ?? Impossible to find a light weight, mid rise, tight fitting combo!!! I'm 5'2" for reference

Love the pockets
I'm so happy Carhartt includes talls in their clothing. Thank you. The pants are just what I need to work in the yard or go on hikes. I've had this pair for a month and I love them, especially the pockets.. My only issue is the size I ordered is a little big, but if I had been able to try them on on a storr I could've made a better decision regarding the fit.

Disappointing work pants - waist is fine, leg opening is like a skinny jean
Quite possibly the worst pair of work pants Carhartt has made for women. Please bring back the Crawford fit.double front. These pants are so tight around the legs - thighs and calves. It's essentially like wearing skinny jeans. The waist size is mint, but it does not align with the leg opening - I have to bunch up the pants around my knees in-order to properly bend down. I have been wearing Carhartt work pants for 10 years now, I am beyond disappointed in their selection. Unfortunately Carhartt will be losing a loyal customer due to their lack in functional women's workwear.
